Nut Permission Settings

Nut uses the following permissions to ensure the accuracy and stability of functions such as "Alert Mode", "Find your phone", "Find your nut", and "Location records" etc. We don't share data unless you ask us to, and we don't sell data or use it for advertising purposes.

Required permissions and settings

Android devices:

· Bluetooth: set to On so that you can pair and connect Nut devices,Find Nut within the Bluetooth range and update the location of your Nut.

· Location preferences: set to Allow all the times so that you can use Nut functions such as Separate Alert, Find My Phone and Find Your Nut, please so the Nut App can provide the latest location of your Nut on the map. (For Android 6.0 and above, the system restricts that the location permission must be enabled before the phone device can scan and connect to the Bluetooth device, and the Nut App can work normally only if the location permission is set correctly.).

· Notification: set to On so that the Nut App can send you alerts for Separate Alert, Found lost items, Find your phones, Battery level, etc.

· Background Running Settings: For mobile devices of Huawei, Xiaomi, oppo, vivo and other brands, in order to optimize the battery life, the restrictions on the background running of the App are strengthened. The Nut App is installed by default, and additional settings are required to ensure the stable running in the background. For the background operation settings, please check the setting instructions of the corresponding models here.

iOS (Apple) devices:

· Bluetooth: set to On so that you can pair and connect Nut devices,Find Nut within the Bluetooth range and update the location of your Nut.

· Location preferences: set to Always so that you can use Nut functions such as Location Records, Find My Phone, please so the Nut App can provide the latest location of your Nut on the map.

· Background app refresh: set to On to ensure that the functions such as Separate Alert, Find your phone, Location history and so on work normally.

· Notification: set to On so that the Nut App can send you notifications about Separate Alert, Found lost items, Find your phone, Battery level etc.

If you set location preference to "When using the App" or "Never",Will Nut continue to work?

If you set the location preference to "When using the App, some Nut functions will not work. The function of Find your Nut can work normally, but functions such as Separate Alert, Find Your Phone and Location Records will not work(Android devices).

If the location preference is set to never:

· Nut will not work properly.

Will Nut continue to work if Android does not make additional background running settings?

Some phone brands need additional background running settings. Please refer to the permission setting function for details.

· If it is not allowed to run in the background, the Find Your Nut function can work normally, and the functions such as Separate Alert, Find Your Phone and Location Records will not work.
